Rollbackmalaria mobilizes for action and resources and builds consensus among partners. The partnership is composed of more than 500 partners, including countries with endemic malaria, its bilateral and multilateral development partners, the private sector, non-governmental and community organizations, foundations and academic and research institutions. Its strength lies in its ability to form effective partnerships both globally and nationally. The partners work together to expand malaria control efforts at the country level, coordinating their activities to avoid duplication and fragmentation and to ensure optimal use of resources.

Key Challenges

• The most key aspect of website design is the “user experience.” In this we need to consider such things as ease of navigation, how the information is organized, the content itself and how clear it is to understand.
• At that time, this was a new thing for our developers but after applied some technical concepts, they developed the finest user-interface.
• The client shared his learnings from his number of years of experience and also expressed the need for creating awareness among people against malaria.
• The challenge was that the client wanted the functionality wherein their future vision should be listed on the website.  

Proposition & Solution

• Our team developed the complete AIM chart for 2016-2030 in order to tackle the problem of malaria disease.
• We considered the design and development aspect in sync with each other.
• We ensured quality coding and testing before the delivery.

Our Development Process

• The Discovery Phase- Our business analysts performed a lot of research and brainstorming before the app development process. At the end of the discovery phase the “Who, Why, What, When and Where” of the project were thoroughly scrutinized.
• The Execution Phase- After gathering all the nuts and bolts to proceed, it was time for project execution. Our designers, developers and quality analysts followed agile development process for execution and worked side-by-side to achieve the project aims. Our project managers also did regular reviews to check the progress of the project went smoothly and according to the time.
• Sprint Base Project Delivery-We took client’s feedback on each stage of development and applied the feedback in the project. It helped us to meet the client’s expectations in the best possible manner.
• The Deployment Phase- Now, app was ready to be unleashed to the world after rigorous development & testing period. We deployed the app in the appstore.

Salient Features

• Rollbackmalaria developed the first Global Malaria Action Plan (GMAP) – for a malaria-free world 2008–2015 which was further endorsed by world leaders and the malaria community during the 2008 MDG Malaria Summit in New York.
• GMAP acts as a valuable advocacy tool which provides the malaria community a roadmap for progress and an evidence-based strategy for delivering effective treatment and prevention
• AIM(Action and Investment to defeat Malaria) complements the WHO Global Technical Strategy for Malaria 2016–2030 by positioning malaria in the wider development agenda.

Results & Benefits

The final product we delivered met all the technical requirements of the client. This has been one of us excited projects we have worked on. Developing a platform which provides contribution to make the world free from malaria is well appreciated by the client and they also appreciated its user-friendliness and performance.
